Welcome to Tell City; 700 Main St, Tell City, IN

When members of the Swiss Colonization Society founded Tell City in 1858, with its wide streets to encourage commercial development, a thriving railroad connection, and easy access to the bustling Ohio River, this community was built with the intent to engage in very active business and trade with the rest of the world.

Today, we continue this process with the creation of Tell City's first official community website. Like the Ohio River and the railroad, modern electronic communication technologies are components of the new pipeline, enabling Tell City to link with people and markets throughout the global community.

Our new website also offers the citizens of Tell City a new opportunity for strengthening the ties among us that make this hometown of ours such a special community. The internet is rapidly becoming the most efficient avenue for providing a growing number of services to our citizens, a resource for all kinds of information and a method for citizens to communicate with each other as well as with people anywhere in the world.

This is only our first step into this remarkable new communications realm and, as we all become more accustomed to making use of this tool, we will grow with you, offering new information, new services, and new opportunities to serve your changing needs.

So, welcome to Tell City and TellCityIndiana.com! Please stop by and visit us at the beautiful City Hall building, located at 700 Main Street, Tell City, Indiana 47586.
